Branding is about being able to communicate your company’s values and identity in a manner which leads to a consistent and memorable experience that your customers can relate to on a personal level. Author and speaker, Marty Neumeier, says that “a brand is a person’s gut feeling about a product, service, or organization.”
Branding is more than having a logo, identity, or product. It is the culmination of everything about your company that tells the story of who you are and what you stand for. More importantly, it allows your customers to define that story from their perspective and then tell it for you, possibly contributing to that story with their own narrative.
Your logo, website, color palette, typography, voice, tone, and everything else should both collectively and independently describe who you are while setting you apart from the competition within your market and industry.
