The COVID-19 PANDEMIC

Change the
Messaging

With a sense of "HOPE" instead of fear we could allow staff, co-workers and family to better cooperate with one another and shift narratives in our community.

The "Change the Messaging" Initiative

In this time of "conflict", we are all bombarded with endless negative messaging in the newspaper, on TV, in social media, at the watercooler. Let's Change This!

Our staff, co-workers and family members are all afraid of what is being said and not knowing what is happening around us. The negative news often promotes more fear, stress and anxiety.

We have engaged a very talented local mental health counselor to help us create a series of "Positive" messaging ideas to help lower the stress, anxiety and feeling of "hopelessness" in our community.

After you sign up, we will share these with you daily, and invite you can incorporate these into the messaging to your consumers, staff and general public and maybe curve this growing feeling of "what next" in our communities.

These are meant to help people feel less anxious, feel supported and may incorporate links to resources which they may find helpful.

Why Sign Up?

We invite you to sign up for our "Change the Messaging" Campaign.

We won't SPAM you or sell your information, we'll just use your name and email address to directly communicate with you regarding the lates issues and concerns regarding the COVID-19 Pandemic and how you can send out a different more promising "message."

Shift the
Narratives

Everyone reacts differently to stressful situations. How you respond to the outbreak can depend on your background, the things that make you different from other people, and the community you live in.

As the community responds to the threat from the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic, some people are likely to feel the impacts from stress, fear and uncertainty. As people spend more time away from social situations and work routines, isolation could create emotional and psychological challenges.

In the coming days and weeks, fear and anxiety will likely increase as our lives continue to be disrupted and social distancing becomes necessary. As a society, we must work together with a sense of empathy. As individuals, we must inform ourselves of the facts, stay connected to the people we love and be kind to each other.

Reduce Stress

Sharing the facts about COVID-19 and understanding the actual risk to yourself and people you care about can make an outbreak less stressful.

For Parents

Children and teens react, in part, on what they see from the adults around them. When parents and caregivers deal with the COVID-19 calmly and confidently, they can provide the best support for their children.

Know Your Source

The danger is that with headlines blaring around us, news outlets vying to be the first to break news, and our social media feeds locking us in echo chambers, there's a risk of an infodemic, in which misinformation spreads.
